Question by Faith: What type of multivitamin should I take?
I am a 22 year old female, currently looking for a liquid multivitamin that will be absorbed quickly. Can anyone recommend a certain brand?

Best answer:

Answer by Patti
Liquids absorb better than pills, which may actually go through the digestive tract intact depending on the brand. Sam’s Club sells a liquid vitamin/mineral/enzyme/antioxidant that is sold in quart bottles, a serving a day for a whole month. Those are really good and I don’t remember the brand name, am using up my Centrum’s before I buy more vitamins.

Question by notchristina: Is there a multivitamin that does not contain synthetics or isolated vitamins?
I’m looking for a multivitamin derived from whole foods only. Is there such a thing? I’m tired of all the products that claim “natural” and “whole foods” that still contain synthetic and/or isolated vitamins and minerals. Please help!

Question by Cat: What kind of multivitamin should i be taking?
I’m a twenty three year old female. I am always so tired. It doesn’t matter if I have two hours of sleep or thirteen. I just can’t see to wake up in the morning or keep energy during the day. I figured a multivitamin would help. Any suggestions?

Question by strangehappenings: Will a multivitamin be sufficient to replace lost nutrients in a vegetarian/vegan diet?
I’m trying to go vegetarian (or if possible, vegan) but I’m worried about nutrient loss. I know you can get all sorts of vegan foods such as soy milk and tofu that replace the nutrients found in meat, but I’m almost too lazy to check every single thing I eat for sufficient nutrients (or let food rule my life that much). Will simply taking a multivitamin be sufficient?

Best answer:

Answer by barbara
The only nutrient found primarily in meat is vitamin B12, and it is also found in dairy and eggs and fortified cereals.
If you eat a varied diet of beans, legumes, seeds, nuts, whole grains, veggies and fruit you will not be “losing” nutrients, but probably eating more than when you were relying on meat for them.
